INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CAR SEAT TENT OR PROTECTIVE COVER......FREE
YOU COULD ACTUALLY USE MATERIAL YOU GOT LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE.
Two Different fabrics measuring 1 1/8 yd, each
4" Velcro
2 Large button or ribbon for embellishment
4 1/3 yards rick-rack if you desire
INSTRUCTIONS:
Tent: Cut both fabrics to measure 33" by 40.5".
Straps: Cut 2 strips of each fabric 3" by 8". So you should have 4 strips total.
1. Take tent pieces and lay them right sides together. Using template, round off corners if desired.
2. Sew around the entire edge using a 1/4" seam allowance. Make sure you leave a 3" opening for
turning on one of the sides.
3. Turn tent and iron well. Topstitch around entire tent making sure to close 3" opening.
4. Take two strap pieces (right sides together) and sew around piece leaving a small opening turning. Clip
corners and turn.
Topstitch. Attach to ends of straps.
6. Lay tent on top of carseat, make sure the canopy is in up position. Make sure the tent is laying exactly
the way you want it to front to back (40") and side to side (32.5 side).
7. Using pins place the straps under where you want them to attach to the carseat handle. Sew in Place.
8. Add buttons, bow or other embellishment to straps. (i have been asked to make button-holes between the straps
so a toy can hang from there.
VOILA! Your done, wasn't that simple????
